Setup & key ideas
Before you start
- The guard is open and you can control one leg between your thighs while reaching under the other.
Key ideas
- Restrict their hips with the over-and-under connection before circling.
- Keep the overhooking elbow close to their thigh as you adjust the passing angle.
- Retain hip control through leg clearance, then secure the upper body.
Common pitfalls
- Reaching too far can expose the overhooking arm to a kimura.
- Clearing the feet does not finish the pass if their frames still block your upper body.
