Setup & key ideas
Before you start
- An established omoplata with a retained upper-body connection as they turn their head away to begin a forward roll.
Key ideas
- Keep your controlling arm high on their body instead of draping it across their legs.
- Follow the roll promptly and come above them before the connection opens.
- Clear their legs and settle the top pin before treating the sweep as complete.
Common pitfalls
- Expecting the original shoulder lock to remain intact after following to top.
